Mama Gaudensia gets food support.

Today after church i managed to get hold of Mama Gaudensia and gift her some foodstuffs for her family. She is a widow and is also enrolled in our support programme.Others are in line and hopefully they will also be gifted.

Many times the widows and orphans need just some foodstuffs, they pray so hard to be blessed. To many it may not be of much importance.I thank God for those who have the heart to be part of this and have always been supportive in one way or another. Please continue to bless them and also keep them in your prayers.

Happy Sunday and God bless you all!

Back to College: A New Beginning for Rodric at Siaya National Polytechnic

Back to College: A New Beginning for Rodric at Siaya National Polytechnic

Today marked an important step forward for Rodric as he reported back to college for his third module. The journey of education is never without its challenges, and this new semester has already reminded him of that reality. Upon arrival, he was required to clear his fee balance from the previous term before fully settling into his studies. It is a tough start, but not an unfamiliar one for many determined students.

Rodric is pursuing a Diploma in Information and Communication Technology, now in his third semester. This stage of his course is crucial. It is where theory begins to meet practical skills, where long hours of study begin to shape real ability, and where commitment is tested. Like many of his fellow students, he carries not only books but also hopes, expectations, and the desire for a better future.

At Siaya National Polytechnic, the environment is filled with young men and women working hard to change their stories through education. Rodric is one among many, but his journey is unique. Each assignment completed, each class attended, and each challenge overcome brings him closer to his goal of building a career in ICT.

Yet behind the scenes, the financial burden remains a real obstacle. Being asked to clear a balance immediately can weigh heavily on a student who is simply trying to stay on track. Still, Rodric has not given up. His determination speaks louder than the difficulties he faces.

Education is more than attending classes. It is perseverance when things are not easy. It is choosing to continue even when the path is uncertain. Rodric represents this spirit. He is working hard, staying focused, and believing that his efforts today will open doors tomorrow.

This is a humble appeal to all well-wishers, friends, and anyone who believes in the power of education. Supporting Rodric is not just helping one student. It is investing in a future professional, a problem solver, and someone who will one day give back to the community.

Every contribution, every word of encouragement, and every prayer matters.

Rodric has taken the step. He has shown up. He is doing his part.

Now, he just needs a helping hand to keep going and achieve his dreams.

Progress on Church Window Installation: A Step Forward in Faith and Safety

Church window without glasses.

There is something deeply encouraging about seeing God’s work take shape, not just spiritually, but physically within His house. Recently, we reached an important milestone in our church project. The installation of window frames is now complete, and we have successfully fitted glass in one of the windows. It may seem like a small step, but it carries a big message of progress and hope.

We now have six more windows remaining that need to be fitted with glass. Each one represents both a need and an opportunity. As we continue this work, we are reminded that building the church is not only about structure, but about creating a safe and welcoming space for worship, prayer, and fellowship.

One of the greatest benefits of completing this project will be improved security, especially during night prayers. Our youths and elders often gather for evening and late-night fellowship, and having secure windows will provide protection and peace of mind. It will also help shield the congregation from harsh weather, making the church more comfortable for everyone.

This effort is more than construction. It is an act of service and commitment to God’s people. Every frame fixed and every glass installed is part of a bigger vision to strengthen the church and support those who come seeking God.

We humbly ask for your prayers as we work toward completing the remaining six windows. Pray for provision, strength, and a breakthrough so that this project may be finished without delay.

“And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.” — Galatians 6:9

May the Lord provide and see this work to completion.

Small Acts, Big Smiles: A Day of Gifting and Gratitude-gifting clothes.

In a world that often moves too fast, it’s easy to overlook the quiet corners of our community where the elderly reside. Today, I want to share a story that reminded me why slowing down to help others isn’t just a “good deed”—it’s a lifeline.
There are two elderly couples in my neighborhood who have become very dear to me. All four of them are essentially navigating their golden years alone; they have no children or relatives to check in on them, leaving them to manage the weight of age and poverty on their own.

The Power of a Simple Wardrobe

While I try to support them regularly with food and basic necessities, this week I realized their clothing had become worn thin. For someone with limited mobility and no support system, a sturdy pair of shoes or a warm sweater isn’t just about fashion—it’s about protection and dignity.

  • Footwear: I’ve made it a point to provide sturdy shoes to protect their feet from the elements and prevent injuries.
  • Clothing: This visit, I brought sets of clean, comfortable clothes tailored for their needs.

The Reaction: Joy in Its Purest Form

The moment they saw the packages, their faces lit up in a way that words struggle to capture. In a life where you often feel “invisible” to society, being seen and cared for is the greatest gift of all.

“It isn’t just the fabric that keeps them warm; it’s the knowledge that they haven’t been forgotten.”

They were incredibly happy, and honestly, seeing their smiles was more than enough “payment” for the effort. It was a humbling reminder that what might seem like a small gesture to us—a shirt, a pair of trousers, or some sneakers—can mean the world to someone who has nothing.

Why We Should Lean

  1. Check-in regularly: Sometimes a 10-minute conversation is as valuable as a meal.
  2. Observe their needs: Notice if their shoes are worn out or if their coat is too thin for the season.
  3. Offer dignity: When gifting, ensure the items are high quality and clean. Respect is the foundation of charity.
Let’s keep looking out for one another. After all, a community is only as strong as the way it treats its most vulnerable members.
Have you had a chance to connect with the seniors in your community lately? I’d love to hear your stories of how you’re making a difference!

Back to School Blessings: A Small Step, A Big Smile

As the new school term approaches, set to begin on 29th April, there is a quiet sense of hope and anticipation in the air. For many families, this season comes with both excitement and challenge, especially when it comes to preparing children with the basic school needs.
This time, I was grateful for the opportunity to support two students from Bar Olengo Senior School, Maryline and Milverton.
Maryline is now ready for the term with a set of new books and pens. It may seem simple, but these are essential tools that give her confidence to sit in class, follow lessons, and complete her work without feeling left behind. There is dignity in being prepared, and you could see it in her smile.
Milverton, on the other hand, received a new pair of shoes. For a student, especially one who walks to school, a good pair of shoes is more than just clothing. It is comfort, protection, and a sense of belonging. His joy was clear, and it spoke louder than words.
As they both prepare to return to school on 29th April, we thank God for making this possible. These small acts remind us that even a little support can go a long way in shaping a child’s future.
“And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.” – Galatians 6:9
Let us continue to stand together and support these young learners. Education is a seed, and every effort we make helps it grow.
