Spending Time with a Grieving Brother

Today, I spent the day with my friend and brother, Opoya, who is walking through deep grief. He just lost his mother. The pain is heavy—and sadly, it’s not new. Just two years ago, he buried his father, around the same time we lost Catherine.

We sat outside his home in the quiet countryside. The mud-walled huts, the still air, and the unspoken sorrow made the moment feel sacred. Sometimes, words are few, but presence says enough.

Grief doesn’t fade easily, but being there—even in silence—can bring some comfort. I thank God for the strength and opportunity to just sit with him. These moments remind us that ministry is not always in preaching, but in simply being with those who hurt.

“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”
—Psalm 34:18

Please pray for Brother Opoya. If there’s someone in your life going through loss, I encourage you—go visit them. Sit with them. Let them feel seen. It means more than you know.

Blessing Widows After Church with Foodstuffs

widows receiving sugar and milk

As part of our mission to serve and uplift those in need, we were blessed to extend a hand of love and care to several widows after church this Sunday. Each of them received foodstuffs including essential items like sugar and milk — a small but meaningful gesture to remind them that they are not forgotten.

In this new month of July, we continue with our Widow Support Programme, reaching out to vulnerable members of our community with the compassion and care taught to us in the Word of God. These moments of giving are more than charity — they are an expression of faith, love, and unity.

As it is written in James 1:27, “Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress…” — and with each act of kindness, we walk in obedience to this call.

May God bless all the supporters and well-wishers who continue to make this ministry possible. July has started with hope, and we look forward to more opportunities to serve.

🎤 A Big Thank You for Helping Us Bring Sound to God’s House! 🙌🏾

We are overjoyed to share that our church has received new professional wireless microphones (LT-508 model) — and it’s all thanks to your unwavering support, generous contributions, and faithful prayers!

These microphones will play a key role in improving preaching, singing, and worship experiences during our services. Clear sound is essential when spreading the Word, and with these microphones, both the choir and preachers will now be heard better, louder, and clearer.

We deeply appreciate everyone who contributed financially, those who encouraged us, and those who stood with us in prayer throughout the journey. Your love and support have truly brought a change in our ministry. 🙏🏾💒

Let’s continue working together to build God’s Kingdom. Every step we take together makes a lasting impact!

May God bless you abundantly for being part of this mission.
