Giving Hope and Comfort: Buying a Mattress for Two Boys Who Slept on the Floor

Wesley received the gift they didn’t expect after coming from school.

In our continued mission to bring hope and dignity to those in need, we recently took a small but deeply meaningful step—buying a mattress for two young boys(Wesley&Milverton of form 3 ) who had been sleeping on a cold floor mat.

These two boys, living in very humble conditions, had no proper bed to sleep on. Night after night, they lay directly on the hard floor, with nothing but a thin mat for comfort. Over time, this exposed them to cold and damp conditions, and sadly, both fell ill.

When we learned of their situation, it moved our hearts. No child deserves to endure sickness because of poverty or lack of basic necessities. Something as simple as a mattress—something many of us take for granted—can mean the difference between sickness and health, between despair and dignity.

We are grateful to have been able to step in and provide a warm, clean mattress for the boys. Their faces lit up with joy when they saw it, and we could feel the peace and relief in their home. It may seem like a small gesture, but to them, it was everything.

This act was not just about giving comfort—it was about restoring health, hope, and the belief that someone cares.

We continue to trust God to open more doors for support, so that we can keep reaching out to the vulnerable, especially children, widows, and struggling families.

“Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will reward them for what they have done.” – Proverbs 19:17

Let’s keep being the hands and feet of Jesus. Every gift, every act of kindness, makes a difference.
