A Cry for Water, Food, and Hope

A woman fetching water for domestic use ..lack of rains have caused families to use this pond..

We are going through a very difficult dry season. The rains stopped in May, and since then, our communities have continued to wait and pray for rain.

The shortage of water has become one of our greatest challenges. With clean water becoming increasingly difficult to find, many families have been forced to depend on dirty pond water for drinking, cooking, and other daily needs. Sadly, this has already resulted in cases of waterborne diseases, especially among vulnerable children and families.

But the struggle does not end with water.

The cost of staple foods has also gone up significantly, making it increasingly difficult for families to put enough food on the table. For widows who have no steady source of income and for orphans who depend on the care and support of others, this situation is becoming unbearable.

Behind these challenges are real people. Mothers who do not know where tomorrow’s meal will come from. Children who are going to bed hungry. Families who are drinking unsafe water because they have no other choice. Widows carrying the heavy responsibility of caring for their children with very little to depend on.

We humbly ask you to pray for the widows and orphans under our care.

Please pray for provision of food and clean water. Pray for those who have become sick from drinking contaminated water, that God will bring healing and strength. Most of all, pray with us for rain to come, so that the water sources can be replenished and our communities can once again have access to clean, safe water.

We continue to trust God even in this difficult season. We believe He sees the hungry, the sick, the widow, and the orphan. We are asking Him to open a way where there seems to be no way.

Please remember us in your prayers. Every prayer means more than you may realize.
