A Visit to My Grandmother

Today I visited my grandmother, who is now 95 years old. She has been unwell for some time, battling joint and back pains that began after a fall. Since then, she has remained in bed. Because of her condition, she can only manage soft foods, and she has also developed bed sores from being bedridden.

Reaching such an age is both a gift and a reminder of God’s sustaining hand. The psalmist wrote, “Even to your old age and gray hairs I am he, I am he who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you” (Isaiah 46:4). Truly, it is the Lord who carries us through every season of life.

While it is painful to see her in this state, I am comforted knowing that God is near to the brokenhearted and gives strength to the weary. We pray not only for her healing and comfort, but also for God’s peace to surround her in these days.

Her life reminds me that every breath, every year, is a testimony of God’s grace. May we cherish our loved ones, honor the elderly among us, and trust in God’s promise that “He will never leave us nor forsake us” (Hebrews 13:5).

A Prayer for the Elderly and Sick

Heavenly Father,
We thank You for the gift of long life and for the wisdom that comes with age. Today we lift up all who are elderly and suffering in their bodies, especially those who are bedridden and in pain. Lord, bring them comfort, ease their suffering, and surround them with Your peace. Give strength to their caregivers and fill their homes with Your presence. May we always honor and love them as You have loved us.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

A New month (September 2025) A new blessing

We are grateful to begin this new month by standing with our widows and vulnerable families. Today, we shared some food items with Widow Margaret Imbaya, Widow Sabina Gombe, and Sister Priscah Odhiambo (who lives with a disability). Each of them received sugar, milk, and bread to bring joy to their homes and to the children under their care.

This is part of our ongoing support program for widows, orphans, and the needy in our community. Many more are still waiting to benefit, and with your partnership we can continue spreading hope and love where it is needed most.

Thank you for your prayers, encouragement, and support. Together, we are making a difference.Wishing you a blessed new month full of blessings .

Donating clothes to needy children

Arranging the clothes before transporting them for pickup

Today I was led to share some clothes with a few children who didn’t have proper ones. I had promised their mother last week, and though they live far away, I made sure to drop the clothes where they could easily pick them up later.

At times I also extend this support to elderly men who live alone, even sharing some of my own clothes. This time, however, the Lord directed my heart to the children.

May God bless you for your continued prayers and support in this program. Together, we can make a difference.

Blessings.

Blessing Our Sunday School Children

Children lining up to receive pens and pencils

Today, I was privileged to bless our Sunday School children with pens and pencils as they prepare to resume classes for the last term of the year this Tuesday, 28th August.

It may look like a small gift, but for these little ones, it means so much. It encourages them to love coming to church, and for those whose families cannot always afford such items on time, it was truly a blessing.

By God’s grace, I am planning to support them further next week with books and other school supplies that will help them learn well and stay focused in class.

We thank God for every opportunity to touch their lives in these simple but meaningful ways. May His blessings continue to overflow.

Back to school support for total orphans

Everline is happy to receive Sanitary pads and books

Schools are reopening, and children are now preparing to go back to class. Many of them need support with basic items like stationery, books, and even sanitary pads. For some, such as Everline—who studies in a school far from home—these essentials make a big difference.

I was privileged to begin by blessing two total orphans. Everline, who is traveling back tomorrow, received some of the things she needed, including sanitary pads, toothpaste, exercise books, and soap—items that will help her through to the end of third term.

Other children will also receive books and pens as they return to school on Tuesday, 28th August 2025. It is a joy to stand with them in this season and ensure they step into the classroom prepared and encouraged.
