A Step of Love: Giving Shoes to Orphaned Children

Praise God!

Today, I’m deeply grateful to share a simple but meaningful act of love. I recently met five precious orphaned children who did not have shoes. Their smiles touched my heart, and I felt led to step in and support them.

Here are their names and shoe sizes as we prepare to bless them:

1. Shalet Joy – Size 10

2. Miguel Oduri – Size 13

3. Alnord Omondi – Size 13

4. Faith Atieno – Size 12

5. Bramuel Omondi – Size 14

These young ones remind us that even a small gift can make a big difference. A pair of shoes is more than comfort; it’s dignity, confidence, and hope for a brighter tomorrow.

Let us continue to show Christ’s love in action by caring for orphans, widows, and the needy among us. Every step we take in kindness brings joy to God’s heart.

Blessings,

The orphans received the shoes as promised.

Praying for Our Candidates: A Season of Hope and Blessings

Sanchez smiling after receiving her gifts
Meryline with her Exams materials ready.

As the examination season approaches, many students across Kenya are preparing to sit for their national exams. This year, Grade 6 learners will be doing their KPSEA, Grade 9 students will take their KPEA, and Form 4 candidates will be sitting for their KCSE starting at the end of October. It is a time filled with both anticipation and anxiety as these young minds work hard to shape their future.

Among those preparing for the exams are two special girls, Merryline and Sanchez. Both are orphans, and like many children in similar circumstances, they face unique challenges. Recently, they reached out to request for some basic stationery—items that many take for granted but are essential tools for every student during exams.

By God’s grace, I was able to provide them with what they needed. The joy and gratitude on their faces were priceless. It reminded me once again that even a small act of kindness can light up a heart and restore hope. These moments affirm the call to care for orphans, widows, and all those in need, as James 1:27 reminds us:

> “Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress…”

As we enter this exam season, I invite you to join me in praying for Merryline, Sanchez, and all the candidates across the country. May God grant them wisdom, peace, and success in their examinations. May their efforts bear fruit and open doors to a brighter future.

Let’s continue to support, encourage, and uplift our children, for they are the hope of tomorrow.

A Weekend Blessing: Sharing with widows.

We’re so grateful for the opportunity to share a little joy and support in the widows this weekend after church service.

Praise God for the chance to connect with these wonderful women. In the photo above, from the left, are Priscah Odhiambo, Perez Abunge, Seline Rapala, and Pariciah Abundu.

Each of these dear women received a small gift package containing a quarter kilogram of sugar, a packet of milk, and some tea leaves. Their smiles and heartfelt appreciation were truly moving, reminding us that even small acts of kindness can make a big difference.

Thank you for being part of this mission. Every blessing to you and your family this weekend!

Support Rodric – A Determined Young Man Pursuing a Career in ICT

Rodric at Siaya National Politechnic college gate

Rodric, born in 2006, is a bright and determined student with a strong passion for technology and hands-on skills. He began his educational journey at Bar Olengo Primary School, later proceeding to Bar Olengo Secondary School, where he successfully sat for his KCSE in 2024.

While waiting to join college, Rodric made productive use of his time by enrolling in a three-month training program in welding and fabrication, showcasing his commitment to learning and self-improvement.

In September 2025, Rodric was accepted into the Siaya National Polytechnic, where he is currently pursuing a Diploma in Information and Communication Technology (ICT). The course is structured into 6 modules, with a total tuition cost of KES 200,000, payable per module.

Despite his enthusiasm and dedication, Rodric faces significant financial challenges that threaten to interrupt his education. He comes from a humble background and is in urgent need of support to complete his studies successfully.

Rodric’s Needs Include:

Tuition fees for each of the 6 modules (totaling KES 200,000)

Learning materials, including textbooks, stationery, and ICT software

A reliable laptop to complete assignments and access online resources
